Dear Friends and Music Lovers, By giving a BRAND NEW TOY and or BOOK you can contribute to a smile on the face of some youth or family that may not otherwise have a happy holiday season. Harlem Jazz Foundation, Inc. has been doing just that since 1992, we've been distributing Toys & Books locally, nationally and internationally for close to a decade with the help of Mrs.Charlie Parker and Mrs. Thelonious Monk. Doris and Nellie, along with a host of other unforgettables like, the late greats singer Phyllis Hyman and vibraphonist Milt Jackson, living Jazz legends Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, Vanessa Rubin, Bobby Watson an d a host of others... through there musical contributions have made it possible to distribute toys & books to Harlem Dowling Children & Family Services,Inc., The Harlem Congregation of Churches for Community Improvement (HCCI), The Harlem Hospital Boarder Babies and other organizations here in Harlem & New York City and as far away as Africa and the Caribbean. It is a mission of Harlem Jazz Foundation, Inc. to contribute a smile to the faces of children & families stricken by the HIV/AIDS virus, by making gifts of Toys & Books. So,The contributions you make to the HJF Annual Toy & Book Drive makes this possible each year.
